As part of the CULTIVAR project, the FitoLab teams from Instituto Pedro Nunes, Appizêzere and AAPIM collected peach blossoms from several producers in Cova da Beira to assess their phytosanitary status, and to characterize the epidemiology of the diseases that dramatically affect peach trees in the Region.
The samples will be used to isolate the phytopathogenic organisms, and in parallel, molecular detection assays will be carried out for the main diseases in Prunus sp.
