An article was published in the magazine of the Portuguese Horticulture Association, produced by researchers Catarina Siopa, Hugo Gaspar, Sílvia Castro and João Loureiro (FLOWer Lab of the Centre for Functional Ecology – Science for People & the Planet, Department of Life Sciences – UC, University of Coimbra) within the scope of the CULTIVAR project.
“Gardens, flowerbeds and balconies are spaces that can have multiple functions, from promoting well-being to food production sites, but also promoting biodiversity. Aromatic and medicinal plants are a great example of floral resources with multiple properties and functions, being very important for the maintenance of pollinators in urban environments.”
