Another article made in CULTIVAR. “Big data help to define climate change challenges for the typical Mediterranean species Cistus ladanifer L.”
This study developed by researchers from IPCB – Polytechnic of Castelo Branco indicates that the steppe, as a model species of resistance to heat and drought, will have its area drastically decreased in the next 50 years due to climate change, particularly in the worst scenario, without mitigation.
This work was the result of a year of work by the CULTIVAR project team, consisting of professors Maria Margarida Ribeiro and Paulo Fernandez and researchers Miguel Ferreira, Alice Almeida and Natália Roque from the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco and the collaborator Celestino Quintela-Sabarís from the University of Vigo.
